Da Bidnez's interview with
Ms. Timmery Turner !!!
Due to the success of the Sugar Does Seattle show my team (which has grown massively throughout the nation) and I have been planning and preparing for our America takeover with the Sugar Does America Tour!
We noticed you are blowing up on Facebook with nearly 3000 likes, what can you tell current and future Facebook friends about what to expect in 2012?
I would tell our fans to expect the unexpected! hahaha! Prepare yourselves for fresh and edgy talent, and more interaction and getting to know our zany and wild staff who are the reason our shows are so successful! We are in the midst of filming a documentary surrounding our tour! Everyone I work with is batshit crazy, so it will serve as incredibly entertaining as well as undeniably inspiring and full of passion!
Tell us about the many sponsors for the tour? Where can we see a list of the sponsors?
Oh man! We've been super lucky with the sponsors that we've obtained thus far, but we plan on adding more as things progress! To name a few Go Girl Energy Drink, Rockeresque Beauty, Sprayground, Natures Mistake, Scadalous Social Club, Hint Water, and so many more! You can visit www.sugarartandfashionshow.com to view some of our sponsors and partners. We haven't officially released the list yet though!
What stood out from your last show with the new SEATTLE team?
That's a tough question? There were definitely a few rock stars that really sparkled, and those are the ones that are still with the Sugar Camp. Kellie Kana Flowers from the Seattle team will be joining the Sugar tour bus, and has just made partner due to her hard work and passion towards the Sugar Dream and Project. Maybe we shouldn't leak that yet...hahaha!
Who do you want to thank for helping with Sugar does Seattle?
THere's so many people to thank for the Seattle show! One being Ryan Muller of Chance, he connected me with so many great resources including Kristen Moores who I am also thankful for. I am eternally thankful for Bryant Worthing of TITS (Two In the Shirt). He kind of took me under his wing when I came to Seattle and made sure I was well connected and taken care of! I really couldn't have done it with out any of these people, and honestly the list could go on forever!!! The models, the designers, Xavior Lopez, the designers, Shocking Goat, all of our Sugar Does Seattle sponsors, and our supporters!
Are you working on any personal projects with fashion or music?
As of now I'm just focusing on building the Mad Girl Productions Empire, which seems to be going incredibly well. I do have another project up my sleeve, but I'm not ready to reveal that!
Your new favorite designer to look out for?
My new favorite designer? Hmmm...one of my Seattle interns just made me hip to an emerging designer out of Spokane, Washington name Rachel Mace! Her line is called Totally Trashed and everything she makes is out of recyclables! Trash bags, newspaper, phone books! I've seen this done before, but not how she does it! Her line speaks to me because it is true wearable art, and to me that's what fashion should be! It's not something that can or should be mass produced. I love it!!!
New favorite hair accessory?
My new not so favorite hair accessory are my bobby pins! hahaha! I have a thing for messy looking hair, and my bobby pins make this look very possible for me! I also love my ponytail holder! Real exciting...I know! hahaha
Your new favorite hand bag?
My new favorite hand bag is the one that stole out of Kellie's car! It's extra large and leopard print. I'm always bringing my office with me wherever I go, so it's all kinds of perfect! She wants it back....not gonna happen! hahaha
What does Timmery Turner do to relax?
I'm not sure relax and Timmery Turner belong in the same sentence! hahha! No, I try to lead a somewhat balanced life. I work hard and party hard! I spend a lot of time with my Seattle team. We work together and play together we're like a family! I'm also beginning to get back to my work out regime. That's important for mind, body, and soul. And when I really need some R&R I go down to my parent's house in Tacoma and just stay in bed for an entire weekend, and let my parent's baby me! hahaha:)
What is Tinsel Tokyo & How long have you been involved with the magazine?
Tinsel Tokyo is an emerging fashion publication out of L.A. that my dear friend, Seth Dobie created. It's probably one of the best online publications I've seen, and I'm not just saying that because I write for the magazine. It truly is the perfect blend of innovation and high fashion. Seth does an amazing job! I'm very proud of him! I've been with the magazine from the beginning, so it's been a year now. I write a column called Mad Girl Diaries that is based off of my insane life of running my businesses, searching for the man of my dreams, and all of my other ridiculous life endeavors!
What are you excited for in the year 2012? Any New Year Resolutions?
I am excited about 2012 period! I truly feel that this is going to be my year! I've made name for myself and my company now I plan on touching the big bucks! My camp has huge plans for the year! I'm even starting a new company! I would say my New Years resolutions would be to 1) Make us much money as humanly possible 2) Continue to grow and inspire 3) Laugh as often as possible 4) ANd I wouldn't mind being in love! I'm truly ready for it !!! I have so much to be thankful for! I'm thankful my creativity and vision! I"m thankful for all of the people God (the Universe) has placed in my path to help me manifest my vision. I'm thankful for the millions I'm about to make! hahaha! But seriously!!!
What city are you looking forward to the most? What can the each city expect from a Sugar show?
I honestly can't say that I'm any more excited about a particular city! I am truly excited and thrilled about every single city we have the opportunity to land in! I also can't tell you want to expect in each city! It's all based off of the energy and talent each city provides us with! I do know that each show will be uniquely different and full of passion and inspiration!!
